Doc Swinsons Alter Ego Solera Aged Rye Whiskey

"We handmade our own Solera Pyramids of Rum casks to age Doc’s Alter Ego Rye blend, we used a blend of 3 Ryes aged 3, 4 & 6yrs w/ two mashbills, of 95% and 51% Rye. We used our old bourbon barrels (13yr Seagram Bourbon, 12yr TN Bourbon, and MANY more) to age our Rum blend (Trinidadian, Crucians, Venezuelan, Jamaican, etc.), some of the Rum was aged in those Bourbon barrels for upwards of 7yrs.

Now we have a traditional (Rum cask) Solera system where we pull only a fraction of the oldest barrels (then refill with portions of the younger barrels) to create our Rye aged in Rum casks!"
