William Hill North Coast Sauvignon Blanc

With roots deeply anchored in the Napa Valley, William Hill Estate crafts luxury Chardonnay and Bordeaux varietal wines from the undiscovered vineyards of California's most celebrated regions. Beginning with William Hill Estate's 140-acre benchland vineyard near the Silverado Trail, Winemaker Mark Williams turns to the hidden corners of southern Napa, the North Coast and the Central Coast to create a unique collection of rich, expressive wines.

After the grapes were pressed, the juice was racked to preserve the delicate aromas and flavors characteristic of Sauvignon Blanc. In response to a very warm growing season, fermentation was cooler on average this year to preserve the bright aromatics of the grape variety. The cooler temperatures slowed the process, allowing more time on lees and imparting more textual richness and layered fruit complexity. A touch of Semillon was added to the blend for its lively acidity and citrus zest.
